WEATHERFORD (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Texas National Guard has made its way into the Horseshoe Bend neighborhood in Parker County.
A convoy of trucks from the guard wound through the neighborhood to check on homeowners who stayed in place during the flooding this week.
The Emergency Management Office in Parker County said at least 60 homes in the area were damaged.
People have been encouraged to evacuate and go to a shelter in Weatherford.
The Brazos River crested several feet above flood stage on Tuesday.
