Several Agencies Assist Midlothian PD with Murder Investigation

church-murderMIDLOTHIAN (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Texas Rangers, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have stepped in to help police in Midlothian investigate the murder of a fitness instructor.

The body of Terri “Missy” Bevers, 45, was discovered around 5:00 a.m. Monday inside the Creekside Christian Church on Highway 287.  She was there to teach a fitness class, according to police.

Security cameras captured a person dressed in tactical gear wandering the hallways of the church just prior to Bevers arriving for her class.  Investigators said the cameras on the outside of the building were not working.

It’s unclear if the suspect is a man or woman.  Police haven’t said how Bevers died because they believe that detail could jeopardize the investigation.

A $10,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and grand jury indictment.  Anyone with information should call the Midlothian Police Department at (972) 775-3333.
