Vote on New Baseball Stadium

ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF) – Arlington city council members will vote Tuesday night on a proposed tax to fund half of a new proposed one billion dollar baseball stadium.

It would replace the current Globe Life Park and have a retractable roof.

Half of the hefty price tag would come from the city in the form of taxes, including a half-cent sales tax.

If council members support the plan will go before voters in November.

If approved, the stadium is scheduled to open in time for the 2021 season.
