Oncor Must Decide on Next Step After Frisco Rejects Planned Substation Site

(WBAP/KLIF) – The ball is now in Oncor’s court on what to do regarding a new substation the electric provider needs in Frisco.

Geoff Bailey, with Oncor, says they have several options on whether to appeal or to simply come up with a new location after Frisco rejected the proposed original site.

“No decision has been made,” said Bailey. “We have fourteen calendar days to which to file an appeal. That decision has not been made yet.”

About 2,000 people signed a petition asking the City not to allow Oncor to put in the new substation.

It would have gone in near an elementary school.
