American Airlines Hit with Lawsuit Over Plane Fire

CHICAGO (WBAP/KLIF News) – Eighteen people filed a lawsuit against Boeing and Dallas-based American Airlines after a plane caught fire on the tarmac at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.

The fire broke out after part of an engine failed last month.

The passengers said Boeing used a faulty engine to build the plane, American Airlines should have done a better job inspecting it and employees did not do enough during the evacuation.

Neither Boeing nor American Airlines have commented on the suit.
