Dallas (WBAP/KLIF News) – The week’s getting off to a rough start for a motorcyclist who tried to outrun Garland Police.  Lieutenant Pedro Barineau says it started routinely enough for an officer was patrolling the area around Garland Rd and Leon Rd.

“The officer observed that the motorcycle didn’t have a license plate, so he attempted to stop him on a traffic violation,” said Barineau.  “The driver of the motorcycle did not stop, and led our officer in a pursuit from South Garland to into Dallas.”

The motorcyclist jumped off his bike in the parking lot of a Dallas grocery store on Ferguson Rd, and ran inside.  Ronald Powdrill was arrested without incident inside the store.  Barineau says he had several outstanding warrants.
