Dallas Teacher Arrested for Allegedly Making Terroristic Threats Over Paycheck

DALLAS  (WBAP/KLIF News) – A Dallas Independent School District teacher has been charged with making terroristic threats after police said he allegedly sent threatening emails to school staff.

DISD police said Omar Alanis, a world history teacher at Seagoville High School, allegedly admitted to investigators that he sent the emails from his work email to school staff  demanding that he and another teacher receive Master Teacher Salary as well as back pay from August 2016.

The emails warned staff that they would be burned alive if the demands were not met and that anyone who didn’t comply would “be put down by Dallas police.”

There was also a photograph of Dallas police with weapons attached to the email.

Alanis was released from jail after posting a $1500 bond. He is on administrative leave pending an investigation.
