Neighbors Gather as Investigators Search South Dallas House Where Lancaster Teen was Found Dead

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Crowds gathered in a South Dallas neighborhood Tuesday afternoon while local and federal investigators searched for evidence at the house where a Lancaster teenager was found dead earlier this Summer.

Police said the bodies of 13-year-old Shavon Randle and Michael Titus were found in an abandoned house after Randle was kidnapped and held for ransom.

Jamie Anderson lives nearby and said she wants answers.

“Why ain’t nobody been charged with Shavon’s murder? Why is this house still available for anybody to be found in there murdered? That’s why we are here,” she said.

The property, which had been abandoned long before the murders, has been a source of tension for residents for months.

“Everybody want to know what is going on because this is where we stay. This is not just a show. This is something we really care about. We stay over here,” said Anderson.

So far, no one has been charged with Randle’s murder.

Dallas County District Attorney Faith Johnson released a statement that said her office remains committed to seeking justice in the case.

Today prosecutors and investigators from my office were at 2208 East Kiest Boulevard, collecting additional evidence for our ongoing investigation into the deaths of Shavon Randle and Michael Titus. Collecting additional evidence throughout the course of an investigation is routine. We remain committed to vigorously and thoroughly fighting for justice on behalf of our victims. As this case is pending, we will not be releasing any further details at this time.
