Billions of Dollars Start to Flow Into Texas To Rebuild After Harvey

(AUSTIN)WBAP/KLIF- Five billion dollars in federal funding will be available in the next several weeks to help Texas homeowners rebuild after Hurricane Harvey.

U.S. Senator John Cornyn says he is grateful for the disaster relief funding considering the high demand with hurricanes, wildfires and flooding affecting states all over the country.

“We’re not going to be asking to be treated any better then anybody else but we’re sure not going to tolerate being treated worse,” Cornyn commented at a news conference with Governor Greg Abbott Friday.

Texas land commissioner George P. Bush says over a million structures from the state of Texas alone are in need of repair.
