Kennedy Assassination Anniversary Comes with Wealth of New Knowledge

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – More is known today about the Kennedy Assassination on this anniversary of the event because of the thousands of newly released files over the past several weeks.

Many experts claim the files continue to point the blame in the direction of Lee Harvey Oswald as the man responsible for Kennedy’s death.

Author Larry Sabato, a Fox News and CNN contributor, says new documents continue to tell the story of the accused assassin.

“There is a lot there. When you do connect the dots, you start to see a picture of an individual who could really have done this,” said Sabato at an event at the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza.

Recently declassified documents include detailed reports of CIA plots to assassinate Fidel Castro, threats made toward Lee Harvey Oswald ahead of Jack Ruby killing him in police custody and some new information regarding a questionable trip Oswald made to Mexico City two months before the assassination.

Wednesday marks 54 years since President John F. Kennedy was killed in a motorcade riding through Dealey Plaza in Downtown Dallas.
