DFW Dodges the Bullet, as Outlying Areas Face Slippery Roads and Bridges

(Dallas/Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – The wintry precipitation that caused problems across areas east and north of DFW Tuesday has moved out, but the frigid temps have moved in.

The cold snap will soon move out of the area according to staff Meteorologist Brad Barton:

(Dallas/Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – Motorists east and south of DFW are urged to use caution this morning as slick roads, bridges and overpasses have been reported as a result of overnight snowfall. Counties affected include Ellis, Kaufman, Navarro and Van Zandt.

The DFW area pretty much dodged the bullet related to wintry weather conditions, but the Dallas/Fort Worth area remains under a  Winter Weather Advisory until noon. The advisory stretched to the Red River.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 6pm for counties south of the DFW area.
