This video was sent to me from McKinney High School walkout on #NationalWalkoutDay. Tough to hear, but student talking about “white power structure.” A handful of teachers outside making sure it stays organized. @WBAP247NEWS @570KLIF pic.twitter.com/pNT01dk3mk

Andddddd here’s video of students gathering. I’m walking backwards because I was told to leave 🤷🏻♂️. I saw one teacher telling a student to go back inside. “Sir, we’re walking out” was the response. He stayed outside. @WBAP247NEWS @570KLIF pic.twitter.com/kpu8Za5bzK

Meantime, on a day when thousands of school students participated in walkout events, a shooting at another Florida high school resulted in the cancellation of activities in Marion County, Florida. One student was shot in an ankle; another was taken into custody around 9am this morning in Ocala.

The principal of Frisco’s Reedy High School says they’ve designated a time and a place for those who choose to walk out that would be least disruptive to the school’s schedule.
Any protests outside of that time could result in disciplinary action.
Meantime, at Dallas’ Bishop Lynch High School students are taking a ‘walk-with’ approach during an event dubbed ‘A Triumph Over Tragedy.’
Their vision is not to protest, but rather to come together as a community to pray for positive change in our world. the eventy will include silent walk around the school track —-to honor school violence victims.
Bishop Lynch High School is planning a special student-led tribute on Friday, April 20, to mark the 19th anniversary of the Columbine High School shooting.
