Dallas (WBAP/KLIF)  North America with get the World Cup in 2026.  FIFA made the announcement Wednesday morning.  That means the world’s biggest sporting event will be holding games in Canada, Mexico and the United States.   So, will any of the events held in North Texas? Dan Hunt, President of FC Dallas told KLIF’s Dave and Amy the goal is to get a semi-final or final game for the Metroplex.  He says such a big game would most likely be played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, he’s hoping there could be some team headquarters based at soccer stadiums in Frisco and Dallas.  He estimates the economic impact to be over $400 million dollars for the Dallas area if we were to get multiple games.  Hunt says we are also a finalist for the international broadcast center.
