Bedford (WBAP/KLIF) – Bedford Police are looking for a man who walked away from a hospital where he was being treated for a gunshot wound to the head. Officers were called to 53 year old Manuel Castillo’s house late Friday night to investigate reports that he was shooting at a neighbor’s home. Castillo shot at them as they they arrived, and was wounded in the head when they fired back. He was taken to a Tarrant County hospital for treatment, but somehow walked out the door before he was arrested. It’s unclear whether Castillo was discharged by the hospital, or simply left. Either way he hasn’t been seen since. Neither the hospital nor Bedford Police are commenting. The Texas Rangers have been brought in to find Castillo.
