Latinos Could be the Majority in Texas by 2022

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – New U.S. Census stats released this (Thursday) morning, show that Texas baby boomers are attributed to a continuing aging population.

The Lone Star State also got bit more diverse between July 2016 and July 2017.

Data suggests that Latinos will outnumber whites in Texas by the year 2022. Previous estimates pegged Latinos as a majority in Texas by the year 2020.

Stats show Texas added 234,000 Hispanic residents, the most of any state, bringing the overall Hispanic population in the state to about 11.2 million.

Texas’ population is a little over 28-million.
