The City of Fort Worth Funds Ambassador Program to Keep People safe

FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF) – The City of Fort Worth funds an Ambassador program to keep people safe.

You can find the Ambassadors wearing bright green, patrolling Downtown Fort Worth.

Manager Trey Butler said they provide safety escorts, information, help with car trouble, and add extra eyes and ears on the street.

Butler said they have had positive feedback from visitors and residents and have even helped police catch criminals on the streets.

Butler says they have also helped with panhandlers and reported cases of graffiti in the area.

They’re on duty 7 days a week from 7 am to midnight. Contact the on-duty supervisor at 817-484-3723.
