TCU Confirms more cases of Mumps, Offers Free Immunization to students/faculty

FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF) – Tarrant County Public Health Officials have identified additional mumps cases involving students at TCU in Fort Worth.

TCU sent out an email to those who may have been in contact with the 5 individuals affected by Mumps. “This includes people in their classes, faculty, students groups, sororities, fraternities,” Tarrant County Epidemiologist Russel Jones said.

Jones says the school is offering  free immunizations for those who have not received vaccinations for measles, mumps and rubella and for those who have been in contact with those individuals. He urges students to take advantage of this clinic.
