Frisco (WBAP/KLIF) – Money Magazine has named Frisco,Texas the No. 1 Best Place to live in 2018. According to the magazine, part of the city’s appeal is the low cost of living, high incomes and booming job growth. In addition, the magazine cites the city’s “outstanding” schools.
Mayor Jeff Cheney told us, “We didn’t need Money Magazine to tell us this, but it is nice to get the national recognition.” He went on to says the city’s best partner is the school district and it does a great job educating the kids in the community.
Due to the huge growth, there is of course a big increase in traffic. Cheney says the city council has made that a top priority this year and there are currently 60 road projects under construction in the city. The only other Texas city to make Money Magazine’s list this year is Flower Mound, which came in at No. 16.
