Saturday’s rain had Plano’s sewers overflowing again

Plano (WBAP/KLIF) – Saturday’s intense rain caused another sanitary sewer overflow in Plano. 100,000 gallons of raw sewage came bubbling up through a manhole in the area of the Glen Eagle Golf Course, and flowed into White Rock Creek. Just a few days earlier the same sewer spilled 160,000 gallons into White Rock Creek. Once again Plano says its public works teams will walk the creek to determine what effect the spills are having on the water and aquatic life. The city insists the spills have had no effect on the public drinking water which is provided by an entirely different system.
