FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF)- The Trinity Metro is launching a new train service that’ll make commuting to the airport easier.

The new 27-mile TexRail is taking passengers through North Fort Worth, North Richland Hills and Grapevine before it’s final stop at DFW Airport

Trinity Metro’s Laura Hanna said  the service will begin January 5th and passengers can try it out for free until February 1st.

After that riders will pay $2.50 for a one way ticket and $5 for an all day pass.

“We think this will be a game changer for the region we are expecting over 8,000 riders a day by the end of the first year of service,” Hanna said.

Hanna said this will make traveling easier, offering an affordable traffic free commute.
