FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF)- The City of Fort Worth is launching a new and improved flood warning system that will keep drivers safe. Starting December 12th, residents will be able to get updates on flood prone areas that can be checked before driving in flood waters. “This is real time information, the best technology out there,” Jennifer Dyke with  Fort Worth’s Storm Water Management said.  Dyke said  they will also install new roadside flashers that are triggered when water rises as well as adding 20 additional weather monitoring system locations. Some of these new locations are outside of city limits, so storms and rainfall can be detected before it hits the city. The website launches on December 12th, after a community meeting at the Hazel Harvey Peace Center for Neighborhoods, 818 Missouri Ave at 6pm.   For More information visit: http://fortworthtexas.gov/news/2018/12/Flood-Warning-System-Expansion/
