Arrests Made in String of Dallas Robberies, Residents Asked to Remain Vigilant

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas Police said Tuesday that arrests were made in connection to a string of armed robberies across the city.

The robberies have been reported in southern Dallas, downtown, Old East Dallas, and Lower Greenville since late November.

Deputy Chief Thomas Castro said during a press conference that an investigation led Officer’s to a person of interest.

“We had a good indication that he was responsible,” said Castro. “The other two happened to be with him at the time of the stop.”

One of the three suspects questioned was arrested on an unrelated charge.

Castro said the suspects’ M-O is attacking victims while they are leaving and coming home. He asked residents to remain vigilant.

I don’t want to scare people but you should always be mindful of your surroundings and who’s working around your neighborhoods,” said Castro. “But I’m not laying blame on these victims because these victims didn’t have time to react.”
