Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The civil trial against former Dallas Cowboy Josh Brent and the bar that he was at the night of a deadly drunk driving crash is set to go to the jury today.
On Tuesday, the mother of Jerry Brown Jr. testified that she wants to make sure no mother ever has to bury a child the way she did, and thinks bars should be more responsible in serving patrons.
She is suing the now defunct Beamer’s Nightclub for over-serving Brent the night he drunkenly crashed his car, killing Brown.
Brent testified he doesn’t remember drinking anything past a glass of champagne and a couple of cocktails, though photos show him drinking out of a champagne bottle.
The bar says he is the one responsible for Brown’s death — not them.
