Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – In a last minute plea deal, a longtime State Fair of Texas performer was sentenced to 10-years probation for a sexual assault of a child charge he had been indicted on in 2014.

For years, 59-year old Robert Liner performed in the the fair’s Spirit of the Horse Show demonstrating his horsemanship.

In a courtroom Tuesday, according to the Dallas Morning News, two women told Liner he had “permanently altered their lives by coercing them into sex acts.”

One woman said, “You targeted a 14-year-old girl — a sweet, trusting, happy-go-lucky, horse-crazy girl.” The now 31-year old woman had come forward in 2013 with her allegation.

Another woman told Liner, “You didn’t break me.”

She said Liner picked her up by her hair, and smashed her belongings and cut up her clothes on more than one occasion.

“I hope you know how lucky you are to serve no prison time. You put me in a prison for close to 16 years.”

Line reportedly took a plea, because was ‘tired.’
