ASSOCIATED PRESS – WBAP/KLIF – Democratic Congressman Beto O’Rourke is still playing mum on a decision about whether he may launch a White House presidential run in 2020. O’Rourke was pressed on a potential White House bid in his native El Paso, during a town hall meeting on Friday.
O’Rourke gave up his House seat, narrowly losing to incumbent Republican Senator Ted Cruz in the mid term elections. Since then, O’Rourke has only indicated he’ll finish his term January third, then make up his mind about 2020.
Amid the indecision, O’Rourke’s name continues to rise among top potential Democratic presidential candidates, even climbing to or at or near the top in some opinion polls.
