Free Dog, Cat Food and Kitty Litter for No Paycheck Government Employees

ADDISON – WBAP/KLIF – The largest no-kill animal shelter in North Texas is coming to the aid of government employees trying to make ends meet with no paychecks coming in.

The Operation Kindness Pet Pantry is giving away the dog and cat food you, Fido and Fluffy need, as well as cat litter, tomorrow/Saturday, from 10 am to 2pm.

Spokesman Jim Hanophy says the Pet Food Pantry is about helping owners keep their pets.  “We don’t want federal employees to have to worry about feeding or surrendering them”.

WBAP and KLIF News asked Hanophy, “What if an employee has six dogs and ten cats?  Can you help that person?”  “Yes”, says Hanophy – “…just show up at the Operation Kindness Pet Pantry, 3953 Belt Line Road, in Addison, on Saturday from 10 am until 2 pm”.

Hanophy asks federal employees bring ID to indicate they are an employee of the federal government.  He says the giveaway also ran on Thursday, and a steady stream of government employees showed up to get help feeding their pets.

Again, that address: 3953 Belt Line; Addison, TX 75001
