Haltom City Raises Money to Expand Veteran’s Memorial, Personalized Bricks for “Walk of Freedom”

HALTOM CITY (WBAP/KLIF)- Haltom City is raising money for the second phase of it’s veterans memorial park by allowing residents to purchase engraved bricks for the “Walk of Freedom”

Christie Pruitt Director of Parks and Recreation says anyone can purchase a brick and leave a personal message to honor and show support for veterans and public servants.

“We will have a beautiful path that comes off of the existing plaza which will have the engraved bricks.. that path will lead to a reflection gazebo which will have landscaping and benches as well,” Pruitt said.

Pruitt says it’s a great and unique way to leave a legacy in the city. They are hoping of selling 500 bricks to raise around $10,000 to build the second phase of this project.
