Fort Worth Detective Fired for not Following Through with a Dozen Warrants

FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF)- A Fort Worth Detective has been fired because police say he failed to get about 12 warrants in the system.

Christopher Fitzharris was fired after failing to get warrants signed and approved by a judge, leading to several unresolved cases. Sergeant Chris Britt said his supervisor approved that these warrants had probable cause but Fitzharris failed to finish the final step that would lead to an arrest. “They range for misdemeanor criminal mischief to assaults,” Britt said.

Britt said Fitzharris was immediately terminated after his supervisor found his name missing from the units records for at least half a year. “All of these warrants have since been resolved and filed in the system ready for officers to make these arrests,” Britt said.
