The FSIS is concerned that some people may have the items in their freezers. They’re urging consumers to either throw the items away or return them to the place of purchase.

Symptoms of salmonelloses include diarrhea, abdominal cramps and fever within 12 to 72 hours after eating the contaminated product.

Most people can recover from the illness but it can be life threatening to the elderly, infants and people with weakened immune systems.
