Texas Domestic Violence Coalition Hopes for Additional Funding, Sends Postcards to Capitol

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF)- The Texas Council on Family Violence is asking for additional Government funding to help domestic violence victims in Texas.

CEO Gloria Terry said shelters are in need of services and beds, she said they can make a difference through a Purple Postcard Campaign. Terry said 41% of victims are unable to get into shelters because there’s not enough services and hopes this campaign will show Texas Legislators how necessary this is for local shelters.

Terry said they want to hand deliver 20,000  signed postcards to Texas Legislators at the Capitol on  March 25th.
