DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF)- Dallas Police are investigating an officer involved shooting near a CVS on Plano Rd and E. Northwest Highway in Lake Highlands. 18-year-old Santiago Lasso is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, one involving an officer. Major Jesse Reyes with the Dallas Police Department said a Lasso fired several shots at a another man across the street. Police say Senior Corporal Juan Amaya was working off-duty, in 
full uniform and in a marked car, working an extra neighborhood watch shift. Police say Amaya was called for a disturbance, saw this happening and confronted the suspect, he then fired at the Lasso as he ran away. Reyes said the Lasso and the victim are in stable condition. Amaya is on routine administrative leave. Police are interviewing witnesses as the investigation continues. If you have any information Police ask you to contact the Dallas Police Department.
