Bernie Sanders Holds Rally at Fort Worth’s Burnett Park

UPDATED: Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders doubled down on his recent stance that convicts, like the Boston marathon bomber, should be able to vote from prison.

During a campaign rally in fort worth sanders called his comments “common sense, he added once you start taking away someone’s right to vote you are moving down a slippery slope.”

Sanders told the crowd that he would defeat president trump in Texas in 2020.

Sanders’ visit to north Texas comes on the same day former Democratic Vice President Joe Biden entered announces his bid for the white house.

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders will be in Fort Worth today.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS!! @BernieSanders is having a Rally 🥳

The Vermont senator will speak at at Burnett Park on W. 7th Street. his campaign says the event will be free and open to the public

Sanders is polling in the double digits in the crowded 2020 democratic presidential race.

Shortly after 8:30 this morning two Sanders supporters from Arkansas tweeted that they were waiting for the #Bernie rally at noon.

Sanders was in Houston Wednesday for a rally and political forum at TSU.
