New Fort Worth Arena Hosts Job Fair Ahead of Grand Opening

FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) — If you’re looking for a little extra cash in Fort Worth, hundreds of opportunities will soon be available.

The currently under construction Dickie’s Arena does not open until November, but its management is hosting a job fair from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Saturday to collect resumes and meet candidates.

“We want the community to get to know us as the leadership group that’s going to be helping to orchestrate what’s going on in the arena,” said food & beverage director Julie Margolin. “And we want to know the community that’s going to be making it happen for our fans when they’re coming in the doors.”

Most of the available jobs are part-time. They include hospitality, box office, operations, and food & beverage.

The arena will being hiring 1,500 or so jobs this summer. Margolin said the purpose of the fair is to put faces to names and collect resumes.

The fair takes place at the arena Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
