(WBAP/KLIF) – A Tarrant County Police Officer is walking for a good cause.
North Richland Hills Police Sergeant Brent Wright is embarking on a “walk of reflection.” Wright will trek 163 miles on foot from DFW to the state Capitol in Austin, representing the 163 Police Officers killed in the line of duty in 2018.
Sgt. Wright said Friday that the walk is meant to honor the lives lost and to raise money for a worthwhile cause.
“I’m raising money for Police survivors and also Alliance for Children in Tarrant County,” Sgt. Wright said.
Sgt. Wright is expected to make it to Austin May 5th.
