Stanley Black and Decker Expanding Operations in Alliance Texas, Bringing 500 Jobs

ALLIANCE (WBAP/KLIF)- A Stanley Black and Decker Craftsman Manufacturing Plant is opening in Alliance Texas next Summer. The Fortune 500 industrial tools manufacturer already opened a distribution center in North Lake bringing around 300 jobs and the manufacturing plant will bring around 500.

Tony Creme Vice President of Hillwood, the real estate developer for Alliance, says this is a great opportunity for the area. “We have such a good relationship with the company since they opened the distribution center and wanted to open a manufacturing plant less than 2 miles away,” Creme said. “It’s going to be their second strategic operation in Alliance Texas,” he said. The 425,000-square-foot facility is expected to be completed in 2020, with a groundbreaking in the fall of 2019. The new plant will manufacture a wide range of craftsman mechanics tools, including sockets, ratchets, wrenches and general sets. The plant will also leverage some of the most advanced manufacturing technologies available to optimize productivity and sustainability, including pre-flattening steel technologies to improve material yield by almost 25 percent, as well as water and energy management technologies to reduce resource consumption

“We are bringing the manufacturing back to America from Asia which is a huge story in itself as we are having trade war discussions with China,” said Creme.  “This facility will have all the latest manufacturing technologies and each item will have a stamp ‘Made in the USA’ on there,” he said.

It’ll be located just off I-35W on Eagle Pkwy near the Fort Worth Alliance Airport.
