Two Suspects Wanted in Deadly Garland Convenience Store Robbery

GARLAND (WBAP/KLIF) – The Garland Police Department is looking for two suspects wanted in a deadly convenience store robbery.

According to Police, Officers arrived at the Corner Food Mart on west Walnut Street late Wednesday night to find the store’s clerk had been shot. 30-year-old Heng Lam was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

Alberto Irizarry  with the Garland Police Department said Thursday it’s believed two men in masks were involved in the shooting.

“It’s an ongoing investigation and we are looking at video,” Irizarry said.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery, is encouraged to contact the Garland Police Department at 972-485-4840. Tips may also be submitted anonymously to Garland Crime Stoppers at 972-272-8477. A reward of up to $5,000 has been offered by Garland Crimes Stoppers for information leading to an arrest or grand jury indictment.
