Three alarm fire severely damages north Dallas apartment complex

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas Fire-Rescue fought a three alarm fire early Sunday morning at the Buena Vista Apartments, a little north of the Central Expressway/635 interchange. The blaze was already in advanced stage when the first firefighters arrived at 3:00 AM, so the best they could do was contain it and prevent it from spreading. Investigators say the fire apparently started in a third floor apartment, then spread rapidly throughout the building’s common attic. There were 18 units in the building, and an undetermined number of them are now uninhabitable. That won’t be determined until a thorough inspection can be completed.
