DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The operator of what Police call an “illicit massage business” in Northwest Dallas was arrested Tuesday on a charge of Aggravated Promotion of Prostitution.
The Dallas Vice unit made the arrest at the Green Spa on Shady Trail near Walnut Hill. Five women who work there were taken in for questioning.
According to Dallas Police Major Max Geron, it was the second time this year a warrant served at the same spa.
“The first [warrant was served] on May 22,” said Major Geron. “And they continued operating.”
James Guckenheimer rents a rehearsal space across the street from the spa for his band ‘Prophets and Outlaws’ and said Police recently shut down a nearby gambling operation.
“We noticed a decrease in crime once the gambling operations shut down,” said Guckenheimer. “We have had our trailer stolen from this area three times.”
Police said the busts were made following a number of community complaints.
