Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The memorial service for Ross Perot will be a private affair. Family members say the invitation-only service will be held at the Highland Park United Methodist Church at 2 PM Tuesday. Information on how you can watch the service online will be posted at rossperot.com. Perot died last Tuesday at the age of 89. The larger than life Texas billionaire founded Electronic Data Systems and Perot Systems Corp. He also ran unsuccessfully for President of the United States twice. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking people to make donations to one of Ross’ favorite charities: the Circle Ten Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, the Salvation Army DFW, the North Texas Food Bank, the Visiting Nurse Association of Texas and Teach for America. In his obituary his family also said, “An act of kindness to a friend, neighbor or stranger in your community will further honor his memory and celebrate the influence of a remarkable life.”
