Fitzgerald’s Attorney Says He’s Seeking ‘Immediate Reinstatement & Back Pay

Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – In a letter dated today, the attorney representing former Fort Worth police chief Joel Fitzgerald tells City of Fort Worth attorneys that an August first hearing has been scheduled on a temporary injunction granted last week.

The T-R-O bars the city from hiring a new police chief until Fitzgerald is granted the public hearing to which he was entitled before his termination.

Attorney Stephen Kennedy says that during the hearing Fitzgerald will seek ‘immediate re-instatement’ and back pay.

The letter makes a third request for that hearing. Read full letter here.
