An Alleged Threat to Downtown Dallas in a Social Media Post

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Dallas Police Department is monitoring social media, following a post warning the public of possible violence in the downtown area.

All social media postings are being monitored by the Fusion Center. According to DPD’s twitter page, additional officers are patrolling the downtown area out of an abundance of caution.

The accuracy of the social media posts has not been confirmed at this time. The Dallas Police Department is encouraging the public to be vigilant while enjoying downtown activities.
