UPDATED: 9:15: (Washington AP) The House Judiciary Committee has passed two articles of impeachment against President Trump. The action was approved along party lines by a vote of 23-17.
The committee recommended that President Trump be impeached for obstructing a congressional probe into his alleged attempts to force Ukraine to investigate a political rival, Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden. The panel’s approval of the article of impeachment sets the stage for a vote by the full House of Representatives next week.
President Trump, who tweeted several comments about the impeachment hearing earlier today (in original post below), reacted to the vote with comments about the reported trade deal with China.

WASHINGTON (AP) – The House Judiciary Committee is pressing toward a historic vote to approve articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump. Though split sharply along party lines, the panel is expected to send the charges to the full House for it to take pre-Christmas action next week. All day Thursday, the committee clashed in pointed and at times emotional debate, drawing on history and the Constitution to argue over the two charges Trump faces. He is accused of abusing his presidential power in pressuring Ukraine to investigate political rivals and then obstructing Congress by trying to block its investigation.
In a series of tweets this morning, President Trump praised GOP lawmakers on the House Judiciary Committee, while blasting Democrats:

Poll numbers have gone through the roof in favor of No Impeachment, especially with Swing States and Independents in Swing States. People have figured out that the Democrats have no case, it is a total Hoax. Even Pelosi admitted yesterday that she began this scam 2 1/2 years ago!
