DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- Two men walking from the east coast to the west coast made a pit stop in Dallas Tuesday.
Army veteran Jimmy Mathews and active Army National Guard specialist John Ring say they are walking to spread awareness on different issues effecting veterans and first responders.
“First respnoders are also effect by PTSD and it’s really important that we address the issues that our veterans and first reponders deal with on a day to day basis,” said Ring.
They were greeted by Dallas Fire Rescue with a burger luncheon before they met and spoke with Dallas public officials and citizens about the local veteran community.
