Dallas (WBAP) - A nursing student at Texas Christian University leaps at a chance to put her education to work. Leah Joslin, 21, was flying home from a trip to Las Vegas when she says a man in front of her lost consciousness and did not have a pulse.

Joslin says she jumped up to help, pushing a passenger sitting on the aisle out of the way.

"You turn around and see a girl sitting on top some guy screaming for oxygen, that always throws off your afternoon flight," Joslin says.

Joslin says the passenger and his wife were Italian and did not speak English. She says she was able to revive the man and stabilize him by mimicking what she wanted him to do.

"He was so cute. He kept apologizing to me profusely," Joslin adds. "As I left, his wife took my hand, kissed it and said, 'grazie.'"
