DALLAS (WBAP 24/7 News) - Downtown Dallas' grand Adolphus Hotel, which just celebrated its century mark in October, has been sold to an Ohio-based investor.
Exact terms of the purchase were not disclosed in the deed records.
A company set up by RockBridge Capital bought the landmark hotel from a New England partnership that owned the Commerce Street property, Dallas County deed records show.
RockBridge is a 30-year-old company that specializes in hotel investments around the country. The company has invested in more than 300 hotels, including historic properties.
The original 20-story beaux
arts style building cost just $1.5 million when it was built starting in 1911. Over the years, it was expanded with a series of additions.
