ARLINGTON (WBAP 24/7 News) - A body was found Thursday afternoon about two miles north of the east Arlington home of a woman who has been missing for more than two weeks.
Police provided no information about the body, stressing that it was too early in the investigation to speculate on its identity.
Officers searching for 77-year-old Mariea Arrocha found the body about 2:15 p.m. in a wooded area near the 1500 block of East Abram Street, according to police spokesman Sgt. Christopher Cook.
The area is 1.7 miles north of Arrocha's home in the 1800 block of Arbor Lane. She has been missing since Dec. 18.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the identity of the person.
