So, as I continue to scrapbook (I'm using as a verb here.) my daughter's life, it always amazes me how many cool things she's gotten to do in her life. She just turned 4.
Let's see, Mavericks games (and the good seats too - at least one suite experience), Rangers games and three trips to Walt Disney World. That's in addition to being in a magazine and newspaper ("The Dallas Morning News" to be exact) and being in a 1K fun run (at age 3.) She's met some local celebrities (TV and sports-types) and even been on local TV a couple of times. I don't have my books in front of me, but those are just some of the cool experiences that she's gotten to have in her short life.
Quite frankly, I'm jealous!
I didn't go to my first sporting event until I was in the double-digits (age-wise) and I didn't go to Disney World until I was in my 20s. I certainly don't recall meeting anyone famous until I was even older. I can't remember the first time I flew, but I know that my daughter's flown more times in her young life than I ever did as a kid.
I had a nice, relaxing childhood, and wouldn't trade it for the world, but it's so funny how much cooler my daughter is than I was. Because she's so young, I'm "scrapping" all of these events so that she'll remember these adventures and experiences. Not every kid gets to do these cool things. I hope she realizes how lucky she is and in case she doesn't, it's all documented.
