Cowboys' Ratliff Arrested on Suspicion of DWI
January 22, 2013
GRAPEVINE (WBAP 24/7 News) - Grapevine police say Dallas Cowboys nose tackle Jay Ratliff was arrested Tuesday morning on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, after his pickup truck sideswiped an 18-wheeler on Highway 114.
It happened just after midnight. Ratliff reportedly refused a breathalyzer and was taken to have his blood drawn. The results of those tests are still pending, according to police.
Ratliff was released after posting 500 dollars bail.
The arrest comes less than two months after Ratliff's teammate Jerry Brown Jr. died in a car crash. Cowboy Josh Brent faces an intoxication manslaughter charge in connection with that deadly crash.
