FORT WORTH (WBAP 24/7 News) - In early December, Major Paul Henderson with Fort Worth police was arrested in Parker County on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was quickly demoted to captain and removed as the department's chief of staff.
On Thursday, Henderson was fired following an internal investigation.
"In an ongoing effort to meet citizen expectations, our police department has mandated advanced training for all employees related to alcohol abuse," said Police Chief Jeff Halstead. "As chief, I will not tolerate egregious misconduct from any employee, especially from an executive in my administration."
Halstead says Henderson can appeal the decision.
