FORT WORTH (WBAP 24/7 News) - The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is apparently more popular than ever.
The gigantic celebration of livestock and rural life drew 157,800 visitors on the third Saturday of its 23-day run - the highest figure ever recorded for any single day in the event's 117-year history.
The bumper day, aided by gorgeous clear skies and warm temperatures, eclipsed the previous record of 154,400, which was recorded on the third Saturday of 2011.
Total attendance for this year's Stock Show now stands at 777,900. That is 2,800 visitors more than the total to the same period in 2012, when a record total attendance of 1,166,000 was reached.
